Coaster Box
Originally commissioned by Steven Canfield, creator of the fantastic puzzle and cocktail blog 'Boxes and Booze', this coaster box was designed to hold a set of 4 Lunar Coasters inside a puzzle.
When other puzzle and coaster enthusiasts heard of the project, they wanted to get in on the action, so a small batch was made, each with varying materials and finishes on the coasters.
The puzzling had to be easy enough to allow quick coaster access when needed, so it's by far the easiest puzzle we've made, but also one of the most useful.
The coaster box is CNC machined from aluminium, brass, and copper, and stands 66mm high, with a square base of 111 x 111mm.
Depending on the chosen coaster material, the complete box weighs between 1.5 and 2.6kg.
20 coaster boxes were released in October 2022. Each had an aluminium body, a brass lid, and a copper knob.
17 coaster boxes were released in October 2023. Each had an aluminium body, an aluminium lid, and a brass knob.
20 additional coaster boxes, specially branded as Christmas gifts with the logo of the company "Ferrosource" were also released in October 2023. These also had an aluminium body, an engraved aluminium lid, and a brass knob, each with engraved coasters.
We have no plans to make another batch.
