Trilogy

A set of three precisely machined brass packing puzzles.

 

These are made to be left out on display, played with, and most importantly, have no barrier to entry for the inexperienced puzzler - but that's not to say they're easy.

 

Each of the three puzzles has a simple goal - fit all of the pieces in the base.

 

Set 1 - 3 pieces - How hard can a 3-piece 2-dimensional packing puzzle be? Actually a bit harder than you think. A perfect puzzle to lure in unsuspecting newbies to the hobby. Difficulty 2/10.

 

Set 2 - 9 pieces - How is arranging 9 cubes into a square base going to be hard? Ha. And if you think you know what's going on, there's a bit more to it. Difficulty 6/10.

 

Set 3 - 11 pieces - This one's pretty tough. A mixture of 3D shapes that can be placed any way up, and in any orientation. There is one solution, and it might take a while. Difficulty 8/10.

 

B-grade items are still fully functional and beautiful, though have very minor dents or scratches on some pieces. The damage is so minor it's likely only visible on one face or edge, and only on some of the pieces.

24 separate pieces of brass billet are machined to tolerances of within 0.02mm.

 

The entire set of 3 puzzles weighs over 2.5kg without any packaging.
